Giving waste a new lease on life

Using either physical or chemical treatments, we transform your waste into materials that can be safely disposed of or recovered for later use. This applies to both hazardous and non-hazardous liquid and solid wastes.

Treating waste before it is simply discarded has both economic and environmental benefits. Besides reducing its hazard rating, it also lowers the total volume of waste for final disposal as the recovered portion is separated.

And in keeping with the principles of the circular economy, the recovered waste can then be reused in a separate manufacturing process, saving money and reducing the need to buy extra raw materials.

A key component of our treatment services is bioremediation. This is a biological process that uses microbes such as bacteria that exist naturally in our environment to remove contaminants from soil and water.

Pesticides, solvents, oil and other petroleum products are examples of contaminants that can be treated using bioremediation.

We can cost effectively treat the following types of waste:

  • Liquid waste in an organic or inorganic liquid treatment plant
  • High hazardous wastes using thermal destruction
  • Contaminated soils using microbial treatment or thermal destruction

Converting waste to energy

BinThermal treatment enables certain high calorific waste streams to be processed as a way to recover energy and destroy hazardous components.

This process is entirely dependent on obtaining the relevant environmental authorisation and permits.

We support this method of handling waste as it sits higher up on the waste hierarchy than landfill. This method of disposal also allows for the possibility of earning Certified Emission Reductions, commonly known as carbon credits.

Ploughing back in the agricultural sector

TractorSuitable organic wastes from industry and municipal services are treated and spread onto agricultural fields to partly replace inorganic fertilisers.

We adopt stringent controls to ensure compliance with all legal requirements. This includes testing materials regularly as well as ensuring it is not stored for long periods before being spread onto agricultural land.
