Oricol Environmental Services has been included in the list of speakers for the Institute of Waste Management South Africa’s Eastern Cape regional conference.
The Oricol delegation will deliver a presentation on new developments and solutions for diverting waste from landfills, notably, wastes to be used as alternative fuels for cement kilns.
The conference, scheduled to take place on 2 August 2017 at the World of Windows venue at the iconic Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, aims to enhance the local networking efforts in the drive toward waste minimisation.
The stadium is involved in many green initiatives such as the Urban Raptor project and water purification systems on-site, which delegates will have the opportunity to experience.
Themed “Green is the New Gold”, the conference will host six local speakers from diverse backgrounds who will address waste-related topics pertinent to the Eastern Cape.
The speakers and experts will address issues around waste management strategies and discuss topics such as legislation, local greening efforts, green building and municipal progress.
The conference promises to provide educational value, networking and brand exposure for delegates.
Some 150 delegates are expected to attend the event.
